Dr Daniel Kouba
Dr Daniel Kouba graduated from Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University in Prague in geophysics in 1999 and defended his PhD thesis in plasma physics at the same Faculty in 2014. In 1995-2002 he was employed at Geophysical Institute CAS, since 2004 he works at IAP CAS. Dr Daniel Kouba is a research scientist and head of the Ionospheric Observatory Pruhonice. He is involved particularly in ionospheric physics, Digisonde measurements (VI, OI and ionospheric drift measurements), drift data processing and interpretation, investigation of ionospheric variability during quiet and disturbed conditions. Author/co-author of 25 papers listed in Web of Science. In 2008 D. Kouba wound URSI Young Scientist Award.
In PITHIA-NRF Dr D. Kouba is responsible for the validation and transfer of data to the e-science center, will support the operations (particularly digisonde operation) in the IAP node for the TNA activities and will contribute in WP1, WP6 and WP7 activities with an allocation of 20% of full-time employment.
