Main tasks

CNES is leader of Work Package 6 ‘Deploying Interoperable Components’, and contributes to Work Packages 1, 2, 3, 7 and 8. Its main role is to apply the e-science center tools to the scientific data and models, and validate the performance of the e-science tools implementing use cases. To that end, a Validation Plan and a representative number of use cases will be implemented for all data and e-science tool providers, which will be executed and functionally verified under WP6 supervision.

CNES will also provide a semi-empirical thermosphere model (MCM) and pertinent training in its implementation and use, as well as raw, smoothed and averaged thermosphere density datasets.
