Main tasks

ASTRON is a participant in a number of PITHIA-NRF work packages. Its primary roles will be:

• Provide LOFAR ionosphere data for inclusion in the PITHIA-NRF e-science centre;
• Provide training to PITHIA-NRF project partners and other potential users of LOFAR in LOFAR telescope usage for ionospheric research, the types of data available, and their analysis;
• Host four projects under the TNA programme to further develop the usage and potential of LOFAR for advancing ionospheric research.
